Bat! Be warned

Liked: the location was perfect for us, and the room was clean. However, finding a bat under my pillow the next morning was not ideal! From what I can tell, it's a semi-regular occurrence, so if you get room 7, be warned. I understand that bats are a protected spieces, but a head's up by staff that there would be a chance of a visotor, would have been appreciated.
Disliked: The bat!

Liked: Last minute booking due to change in travel arrangement and we booked this hotel due its proximity to Edinburgh airport. Very pleased with the welcome, one of the staff carried our (heavy)case up the stairs as there was no lift and that was most welcome. All in all a very pleasant stay and will factor this hotel in if we need an overnight stay in Edinburgh again - many thanks!
