Good weekend - we walked to Montebello Park. It's a good walk, but weather was great, so good exercise.

Liked: Nice; clean; good location.
Disliked: For the price I think breakfast should be included.

Liked: The hotel had excellent amenities - a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool, golf course, and on site restaurant. There was cold flavoured water available in the lobby - we recommend the staff advises filling up your water bottles when you check in, as the rooms do not have water bottles available in the mini fridge. The rooms were very clean, and the bed was comfortable with a selection of pillows. We also appreciate the staffs help giving us white wine glasses, so we did not have to drink our Chardonnay out of plastic cups. Breakfast was delicious as well, we received a warm greeting when we arrived, and I was pleasantly surprised to see baked beans available on the hot bar. Get your fill of sausages while they're available, breakfast is stopped serving promptly at 930 am.
Disliked: We would have appreciated a selection of drinks and snacks in the mini fridge. Otherwise, no complaints- and we will return in the future.

Review upon arrival

Liked: Room was comfortable. Had help with heavy luggage on checkin
Disliked: - The front desk clerk on arrival was snippy and most unwelcoming- No help with baggage on checkout was brought a luggage cart but had a walker too. Luckily, another guest helped.- Flood at entrance. Had to exit through restaurant - Entrance was difficult, to locate in the dark at night. Inside, all dark. Cab driver entered to ask. Had to drive in a complete circle around the hotel to find the proper entrsnce.

Ok-ish hotel, good facilities and...

Liked: Location was good. Close to Niagara Falls (~20 mins) and close to two beaches and parks in St Catharines. Nice restaurants in the area and on short driving distance.
Disliked: The room overlooked the indoor swimming pool, which was unpleasant. Because of that, it didn’t feel comfortable to open the curtains. The room was dark, and you also couldn’t open a window. You could often smell the chlorine from the swimming pool in the room. The pool also opened early in the morning, and you could clearly hear it from the room. The pool noises echo, and you can hear them in the room as well. In general, the room is very noisy. You can hear people in the hallway and the neighbors as if they were standing right next to you. These rooms are not recommended. Better use them as storage units or so… room not worth the money
