Best Western Savannah Historic District

Based on my hotel experiences the room was average based on the cost. Upon check in we did not have hand towels. The housekeeper promised to bring hand towels. When we returned to the room the hand towels were not provided as promised. I had to go to the front desk at 11 pm to get hand towels.

Liked: The room was available and cleaned one hour early.
Disliked: We did not receive hand towels at check in.

For the cost I was...

Liked: Location to main town and River Street was excellent
Disliked: Breakfast limited not very appetising always too busy. Room dark, decor tired, shabby, noisy. Did ask for a quiet room but not offered one.

Exceptional

Liked: Location was perfect for walking to things
Disliked: Paying to park at the hotel I already paid to stay at

Wonderful!!

Liked: The proximity to all the things we like to do. River street was down a block. City mkt was up a block.
Disliked: Not enough parking. And then paying for parking.

Good but definitely not perfect

Liked: Location, location, location. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is large and it was clean. Ac very cold. Cute shutters on window and double doors on bathroom and closet.
Disliked: Room has no exhaust fan in bathroom and everything in the room is damp. Looked like ceiling over shower had mold that they covered but was seeping through. Makes sense with no fan. Also wood doors in closet and bathroom would stick. Beds were damp and it had a rug in main area which with all that moisture. Who knows. Breakfast was ok. Best part was waffle maker. Pillows were the worst ever. Hardly any light in room

Rude staff, filthy, loud, dead...

Liked: The location is the only redeeming factor.
Disliked: It was dirty, had dead roaches, we found a press on nail on the floor indicating the room hadn’t even been vacuumed.
