Best Western Savannah Historic District

Based on my hotel experiences the room was average based on the cost. Upon check in we did not have hand towels. The housekeeper promised to bring hand towels. When we returned to the room the hand towels were not provided as promised. I had to go to the front desk at 11 pm to get hand towels.

Liked: The room was available and cleaned one hour early.
Disliked: We did not receive hand towels at check in.

Good location for Savannah, nicer...

Liked: The closeness to the river and the historic district
Disliked: Staff could have been more personable and have better customer service

Liked: Proximity to downtown attractions was nice.
Disliked: Staff was crabby. Called several times asking for adjoining rooms, they were very short each time, saying that we would have to ask when we checked in. When we arrived at 3:45pm, the automatic doors were turned off. The female at the desk stared at us but didn't move to help. When another person finally opened the doors, she said that she was waiting for the landscapers to be done because she didn't want the pollen by her. As other people were going in and out, she was rude, making comments about them. We again asked for adjoining rooms. She stated that they may be adjoining or they would just be next to each other, but we would find out when we got to them. They were not adjoining.The traffic noise was periodically obnoxious throughout the night. Not the hotel's fault, but the proximity to many bars made some crank their music/rev engines to show off.

It was fine for 1...

Liked: Room is old but has been updated. Bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was fine. Pretty basic, but good. Water pressure could have been a bit better. Wi-Fi worked as it should.
Disliked: Very noisy location. You can hear ppl on the city sidewalks outside, emergency vehicles loud when driving right by. Little sketchy after dark around the location.

Disliked: Close to very busy road, so traffic noise, but it did not affect us too much.
