Not a bad hotel, just needs some tweaking and to not advertise a 24 hour hot tub when it is only open until 11pm. I feel for the quality the price should be a bit cheaper as well - $95 when a 5-star downtown is less than $50 more for a suite with free happy hour?

Disliked: One elevator didn't work and the other sounded horrible; advertised 24-hour hot tub yet it closed at 11pm (one of the main reasons I booked at this hotel was for the 24 hour hot tub so I could have a soak before bed). There was a long hair inside the water refill on the Keurig in our room (glad I noticed it before I brewed any coffee); inside of dresser drawers appeared to not have been cleaned.

Liked: Nice place.

Overall we were very impressed with the hotel. Next time we are in St. Paul we will be staying there.

Liked: We've stayed here a few times before, but always on the 3rd floor, this time they put us on the 1st floor, the room was full of ants, especially by the trash and in the bathroom! My husband and I didn't even notice it until later in our stay. Disgusting.

Liked: I like the obvious attempt to make the facility clean and inviting. Parking was fine. A lot needs to be done to highlight the entrance to the property from 10th Ave. At night the entrance is invisible.Breakfast was delightful. The staff tried very hard to be helpful. I regret that I did not leave a big enough tip.
Disliked: I have had problems with Direct TV in the past, and my experience at the motel was no different.The remote was purposefully designed to make watching TV a miserable experience. In my past experience I immediately rejected Direct TV (for the same problem) and went back to Spectrum. I truly believe that Comfort Inn should do the same. For this reason and this reason alone, I will not be a customer of Comfort Inn. P.S. The toilet paper was incredibly harsh to use. It should be used on wood, not the human skin.
