You get what you pay...

Liked: The breakfast was great. There was plenty to be had. You could have a simple continental breakfast to a full on Full English. Yes I was happy with the breakfast. We also liked being able to park right up to the main entrance.
Disliked: The room was clean but so dingy. It most likely faced north, but having a huge tree just outside of the bedroom window really put it in the shade. The furniture was old, not antique, but old and shabby. The bed we found really uncomfortable, and when we finally got to sleep we were woken up with guests above us banging and crashing around. There are other gripes, like the bathroom mirror light didn’t work…… Our room was the Standard classic, and they did try to sell us an upgrade. Perhaps we should have gone for it, and maybe our stay would have been more enjoyable.

Liked: Breakfast was lovely,best fried bread I have tasted in a long time, staff did take a while to remove the dirty plates
Disliked: Beds need replaced, far far too soft,but I found the pillows comfortable.Housekeeping maybe should have closed the bedroom curtains due to the sun facing room and temperatures outside and inside the hotel

Pleasant but could be better

Liked: The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and accomodating of any requests. Breakfast was well organised. My room was a decent size and with a pleasant view of the green.
Disliked: Considering the price of the room, I was expecting it be a little more refined. The decor and fixtures in my room were very dated, the TV didn't have any smart features and the WiFi in room was very weak - would not recommend for business travel as I could not make or receive video calls over the wifi.

Lovely stay, good value for...

Liked: The breakfast was really lovely and the best was tge beautifully kept garden full of beautiful flowers and trees. Such a peaceful setting. Staff lovely too.
