Best Western Premier Richmond City Gateway

All in all we were very pleased. Considering how inexpensive the rate was, we were a bit nervous about the quality of the hotel, but we were both very impressed upon arrival. I would definitely return.

Liked: Very nice staff; the room was very nice; very cheap rate and they included a $20 voucher for breakfast in the morning which was a very great deal and the breakfast was outstanding.
Disliked: It was a little further from the venue then we thought and therefore a more expensive cab ride, but considering it was still only $25 each way which isn't terribly expensive.

The TV in the room didn't work along with a lamp in the room; there were problems in the business room therefore I missed the event I was traveling for and to top it off the $20 breakfast voucher we received at check in we could not use due to the restaurant closing at 10:30, when the voucher was vaild until 11am and the hostess was rude when informing us. Overall my stay at this Holiday Inn was horrible.

Liked: Conflicting information about breakfast - listings said $10 for a single item, but it was a buffet. A very very basic one, but it was free, and the serving staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was quite edible.When I checked in, the staff was friendly and chatty, helpful in explaining exactly where the room was.The room itself was booked as "accessible" - it had a roll in shower, which was perfect. The best part was that I was able to use the shower head and the shower wand at the same time for the ultimate shower. :)Bed was comfy. Furnitue was useful - rolling chair, armchair, a little table to use with the armchair for food or laptop. The desk area was nice. Plenty of USB and power ports.Light control was a little odd - lamps on either side of the bed andone on the desk, all of which were only controlled by switches on them. There was a light at the door to light the little hallway where the bathroom door was, but it wasn't bright enough to get to the lamps - I had to use my phone's flashlight. but the light was quite adequate one switched on.Decor was minimally modern. It looked nice.I thought it was all good for the price. Nothing amazing, but it was good. And good for the price.

Short stay, great location

Liked: The location was great! Room was spacious and we were able to bring our dog. Breakfast was very good. Night staff person was very accommodating and pleasant.
Disliked: The mattress was lumpy and not very comfortable.

Overall it was a poor...

Liked: Night front desk staff tried there best to accommodate us but we where to exhausted from traveling for 10hrs to switch rooms.
Disliked: Ac was broken they sent the janitor to fix it. Got yelled at by staff thinking I didn't stay there when trying to get breakfast. People where smoking weed by room that flooded in the smell. The window didn't open fully. And the TV was broken.

It is perfect and hotel...

Liked: The general manager is so nice she’s amazing her energy never changes she makes you feel welcome and makes sure you’re comfortable overall everything is clean comfy even the breakfast is good definitely will return best service I’ve seen and had in a while 5 stars to the manager and staff they stay was amazing and the stay was quite comfy and clean FIVE STARS
