Our go-to Madison hotel

Liked: Beautiful view of the capital from our room. The room is spacious with high ceilings, bright, and modern. Comfortable bed. We got to enjoy the pool this time which was fantastic. All of the staff are extremely friendly. Great valet.
Disliked: Loved it all.

Liked: The location was perfect. Stay in a high floor room for the best views. You can see the dome of the Capitol building from the pool on the top floor. We were on the same floor as the small wedding reception room and saw two receptions during our 2-night stay. If you come on a Saturday, you can walk out the front door to the Saturday farmer's market. Skip the hotel restaurant and have Saturday brunch at The Old Fashioned.
Disliked: The fitness center and pool were a disappointment. The room was spacious, but there was no equipment. There was a single bench, but not a single dumbbell or strength machine in sight. The pool was supposedly heated, but it was too cold for a swim, and there was no hot tub/spa.

Had a very pleasant two...

Liked: Breakfast at The Post was very good and reasonably priced. Hotel location is great. Appreciated the early check in as we had a wedding to attend in town.
Disliked: Prefer a Keurig coffee setup rather than what was in our room.
