Exceptional

Not the best.

Liked: Cafe onsite. Pool is quiet and peaceful. Short walk into Del Mar.
Disliked: The mattress was horrible. When we complained we were told it was because it was an ADA room. No handicap person would be able to get out of the canoe we had to sleep in for 5 nights! Thermostat wasn’t working had to call maintenance. Shower handheld doesn’t work. Air conditioner left the carpet soaking wet. We were not charged, but they are now charging $10 a night to park a car.

Cozy boutique hotel near the...

Liked: This boutique hotel was cozy and clean. They had a little convenience section to buy food/ drinks at the reception desk. Plus they have a cafe on site. They offered free flavored water (w/ cups and a water dispenser).. The room was spacious, clean and had nice closet space. The shower was spacious and modern. Parking was easy to find behind the hotel. The staff was kind and allowed me to check-out an hr later. The location is near the ocean and near some shopping plazas (One Paseo Del Mar).
Disliked: They have a small gym, although hours are limited. The cleaning lady knocked on my door before check-out time even thought I put the "Do Not Disturb" sign.
