Best Western Plus White Bear Country Inn

This hotel is in a great location. White Bear Lake is a nice city near the Myth which is why we stayed there. The staff greeted us and asked how we were doing everytime we walked by them. Pool and hot tub were nice but are as big as I thought they would be. The arcade was just like 5 games in a square "closet" with a vending machine all cramped together! Not a big hotel, I thought it was bigger which is not a bad thing since I hate being lost. The hotel never seemed too busy for us. The bar restaurant Rudy's is awesome - so nice looking.

Liked: Pool area theme looked great; nice staff and good food at Rudy's.
Disliked: Pillows were too firm; bug in the room; missing light bulb in lamp.

Nice hotel close to Myth and several liquor stores. Rooftop bar and restaurant is neat. Great continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice pool and hot tub.

Liked: Nice hotel with friendly staff.
Disliked: Was told wrong room number at first, but got it worked out quickly.

Disliked: AIR CONDITION WAS A BIT COLD IN THE MAIN PARTS OF THE HOTEL. ROOM WAS FINE BECAUSE YOU COULD CONTROL THE TEMPERATURE.

Disliked: Business center didn't work. Needed to print things.

Parking an issue, room issues...

Liked: The bed was comfortable. Restaurant on site was convenient even though we did not go to. The staff was friendly for the most part.
Disliked: We didn't have cold water in our sink and when our 6 year old son was washing his hands not knowing he burned his hand on the hot water. Issue was brought up to staff but the issue was not resolved and my husband hung up on him. Not so great brushing teeth with hot water. We should've been comped our room for this huge safety issue and inconvenience but no resolutions were even attempted. We also were blocked in the parking lot as vehicles were allowed to park on the outside of parking making it virtually impossible to get out and when asked to find the owners of the vehicles manager came out and helped us get out but upon returning all vehicles were still parked there.

Liked: Very tired from lying to traveling in this hotel, but needs very nicely It was nice to get a bit of high-quality food at Rudy’s before sleeping. Nice included breakfast and a wonderful coffee machine!

Liked: Nice, very friendly& helpful staff, warm pool, good breakfast, pretty crowded in pool in breakfast area though, but great value!
