Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn

We are fussy about motels as far as clean rooms, well kept structure, staff, nice furnished rooms, and a motel that you regret later about staying at. The Best Western Plus Steeplegate Inn in Davenport, Iowa met everything we like in motels and then some. Cost was good also, not one to break your checking account. Would recommend it to friends, family, and any one looking for a 'Really Nice' Motel to stay in and will stay in again if I'm in the Davenport area. Give it 5 Stars, plus 5 more!

Liked: Conveniently off the interstate.Well lit parking lot at night. Clean, nice room. The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: I didn't realize the charge you an inconvenience fee of $50, but I think the staff said you would get it back if your room was left in good condition.

Liked: The lady that was putting out breakfast was wonderful.
Disliked: First of all we found 2 pairs of disgusting underwear underneath the bed. The pool on Saturday was gross. There was alot of chaos on Saturday. I had very young children and what was happening in the hotel was unacceptable. Then we went to complain about finding the underwear they said we can't do anything that's the manager job. And the manager supposedly could not be contacted or coming in.

Disliked: Did not like that there was no hot tub also breakfast was not good, no waffles, broken dispensers. Also while we were staying North door would not work with key card. We stay every year at the same time, has really declined since last year.
