Liked: Staff was great. Location is super convenient. Very clean rooms.
Disliked: The only problem we saw was that the TV wouldn’t work. But I’m sure the staff would have helped if we called them about it.

Comfortable, Well-Located Hotel with Great...

Liked: I had a great stay at Best Western Plus Soho Hotel. I moved here for my final two nights in New York after staying in Times Square, and I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in experience was smooth, and the lady at reception was very helpful, clearly explaining everything. I appreciated the 24/7 availability of coffee, tea, and water in the lobby, especially considering how pricey bottled water can be in New York. The breakfast offered plenty of options, including hot choices, and while I’m not a fan of paper plates, at least the cutlery wasn’t plastic. The room was a good size, clean, and included a desk, which was convenient for getting some work done. The bathroom was also decent, and the TV worked well. The location is excellent walking distance to Chinatown, Little Italy, and other nearby spots.
Disliked: My main critique would be the use of paper plates during breakfast. Although I understand it's convenient, it would be great to see more sustainable options in place.

Disliked: The room was unbearably hot (probably like 85F). The thermostat for the room was centrally controlled, all we could control was like fan speed, and it being April the place still was in heater mode, so there was nothing we could do other than open the windows to let in the 50F air which sort of made the temperature tolerable as long as it was left open. But the hotel is also along a busy, loud road, so there was zero sleep with it open despite earplugs + headphones. Combined with the extreme heat, impossible to get any sleep. Perhaps during another season, the heater wouldn't be so hot, or thermostat would've been in AC mode and would've been a tolerable temperature. Absolutely not acceptable for such an expensive, supposedly modern, hotel these days.

Disliked: Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great. The view from the room was of another building wall and loud air conditioning units, which made it hard to relax. The fridge had a very unpleasant smell and couldn’t be used. The air conditioning didn't work – the unit only allowed switching between fan or heating, so maybe in April the cooling mode isn’t available yet, but it was very uncomfortable for us. Overall, the price didn’t match the quality, and we were quite disappointed.
