Disliked: Room smelled. Even after two visits from housekeeping for the problem, it persisted.Even guests came to our room for a visit and commented on it.No shampoo or soap in dispensers in bathroom.

Disliked: First room offered was old fashioned and had an unpleasant stale smell.I complained and was given a refurbished room. Spacious, comfortable. Bed ok, pillows were lumpy.The Oak Cafe was dark and lacking in any atmosphere

Liked: The property was very clean. The rooms had high ceilings which made it feel more spacious
Disliked: I feel the price was a bit high for the type of accommodation it is. It felt more like a high end motel .

Good stay but lacking something

Liked: We had a 2-storey apartment with 2 bedrooms which was great for our group. Pool area was nice but busy so not enough pool loungers for everyone. We didn’t use any other facilities.
Disliked: Bath tub very slow to drain (meaning that you’re standing in about 10inches of water) and none of the TVs worked (some kind of remote control pairing issue that should have been checked between guest stays. Maintenance staff member seemed clueless as to how to resolve either issue so as we were there for 1 night only I asked him to leave it until after our check-out. When we checked-out I let the reception staff member know that we were not happy with these two issues there was no apology until she said “you’re all set” - then the apology sounded like an afterthought.
