Enjoyable and would definitely stay...

Liked: 4th floor room facing the street was very acceptable, with large comfy bed and more than adequate shower and bathroom.Had a small window that opened for ventilation (most hotel rooms do not) so did not have to rely on air conditioning. That said when used the conditioner was easy to operate, switched itself on and off at the correct temperature (and did not run continuously like some) and was relatively quiet i.e. was able to sleep through it.Our room cleaner was excellent and the staff on reception were very helpful.The Park Pub was very good for breakfasts and evening meals.
Disliked: Our view of the sea and the beach was marred by dirty windows

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The location is in a rather sketchy area. If coming again, I'd pick a hotel in a different location.

Good location but needs renovation

Liked: The location is great, in the west end and close to Stanley park.
Disliked: Our room had old single pane windows which meant it was quite noisy sometimes at night. Also the air con unit is very loud as it is an old unit that is fitted in the window.

Totally recommend!

Liked: Super friendly staff, comfy bed, tasty breakfast, parking available (reasonable pricing)
Disliked: Breakfast is not buffet style, you get a voucher and can order 1 item per person from their menu. That was not clearly communicated at first but then the front-desk staff sorted it all out.
