Liked: Great location, friendly and helpful staff, really happy the windows could open for fresh air
Disliked: The hotel needs an upgrade. For the cost I’d expect a bit more quality. Aesthetically there is chipping paint and old carpets, dated furniture, and the outside could really use a paint job. Some attention to the back parking lot area/alley for those rooms looking out that way would be nice. Loud ac, not enough updated charging ports (there was only 1 usb plug in and it was near the tv, not the bed), thin towels. I would encourage the owners/operators to consider hiring an interior design firm to help! Not saying it needs to be fancy but just feel a bit more considered.

Disliked: Soundproofing is barely existing, so hard to sleep at night while you can basically hear what the other room’s conversation is about

Liked: Great location. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. No Frills and Safeway supermarkets were a few blocks away. The beach was a block away. Bus stop right outside the hotel.Nice room (#211). Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, fridge and microwave in case you wanted store and warm up your food. More than sufficient for a solo traveller.
Disliked: I didn't like the raised sink in the bathroom. It caused water to splash out onto the countertop.The hallways were a little messy, but the room itself was fine.The price was a bit high, though Vancouver is expensive.
