Best Western Plus Poconos Hotel

I spent a lot of time investigating motels in the area because I was booking 4 rooms for my family. Some were a little cheaper and some were more expensive. But reviews convinced me to select this one. The room was very nice. My family was very pleased and we all enjoyed our stay. The pool was also great looking, but didn't use it. We found there was a lot to do in the area. If I need a motel in this area I will definitely return.

Liked: The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was superior, consisting of scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, great self serving waffles, and all the details - bagels, donuts, juices etc.
Disliked: Construction vehicles took up convenient parking spaces by the second floor entrance.

The room was clean, including the bath. Was appropriately priced given location and room. Staff was pleasant. Parking was minimal. Continental breakfast was good with a variety of food including waffles.

Disliked: First of all, this hotel charged my card at 3am when check in is at 4pm. When I had originally made the reservation, I was notified that I would pay when I would arrive at the property. I arrived early, and the owner told me that the only room he had available didn't have any elevator access, he informed me that if a wanted the same type of room that has elevator access, I would have to wait until 4pm. Upon arrival, the room was very hot and humid, we noticed one of the bars of the bathroom sliding doors was missing. The floor of the shower seemed made of plastic, not to mention that there was a dip on the shower floor right in the middle. This hotel does housekeeping only on the 3rd night of your stay. If you want them to come in sooner, you have to make a request. There are no garbage cans on the floor, so you have to leave your trash by the door so the cleaning crew picks it up when they come to vacuum the floors. The breakfast is mediocre. It was okay. I don't think it was worth almost 500 for a 2 night stay. The best thing about this hotel is that it is very close to restaurants, the premium outlets, Walmart, Wawa, etc...

The location was great.

Liked: I like the location of the property to where we needed to go. The breakfast was delicious, always and clean and that spot.
Disliked: I didn’t like that the pool was consistently cloudy and we could not really use the pool. We didn’t swim in it at all. Also, the tub in my room always filled up around your ankles, and there were dirty towels outside in the parking lot and trash around the area outside.
