Best Western Plus Philadelphia Convention Center Hotel

Horrible because Best Western was not a place I felt comfortable staying in. Was charged 205.00 for nothing. They didn't even try to make up for false advertising.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Appearance of hotel outside and inside.

I would not recommend. Not close enough to any attractions you would feel safe walking around in. Parking is a block and a half away. The mattress on my bed almost sank to the floor when I sat on it, so not a comfortable sleep.

Liked: The room appeared clean and it was not noisy during the overnight hours.
Disliked: The breakfast buffet was the worst. I got yogurt from the little cooler and it had expired the week before. The bananas all had dark spots. The waffle maker was missing a knob and was not working. Turkey sausage was so hard and dry it was inedible. House keeping staff were very loud early hours - sounded as thought they were talking on their cell phones.

Plan for city traffic and this is just a perfect hub for your experience.

Liked: Just about everything from the front desk's help identifying a mistake to the cleanliness of our room. Complimentary breakfast was good (except for the sausage - not a fan).
Disliked: None. Lyft to and from the concert was easy.

Great hotel, good value for...

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff . My razor had run flat and I was given a complimentary one by the receptionist which I really appreciated. Excellent amenities in the room, but see below!
Disliked: The coffee machine in the room made a lukewarm warm coffee. I brewed another one and it was the same.

Liked: convince, great location.. walking distance from shopping areas & restaurants. clean spacious.
Disliked: The cleaning lady walked in my room without announcing herself, or knocking on the door while I was getting dressed I happen to be naked, and that I do not like.

Disliked: Staff was less than competent. They double charged me for my stay. Id already paid booking.com and they charged my card again without even telling me first. I barely made it home. Its been almost a week later and I still haven't been refunded due to the property taking forever to submit proof to booking that I paid them also. Beyond frustrated. I dont have money to throw around like that. They also dont tell you that there is no parking until after you book your nonrefundable stay. Their email that they send after booking says that parking is 1.5 blocks away and is 25 per night. Well its not. Its 35 per night. For those of us on a strict budget this can be a huge problem and almost made it so I was stranded in Philly with my 12 yr old. Not impressed. Especially with the staff. It isn't my fault that their payment system doesnt cross over. Period. So why am I having to pay double in order to check in? And since its nonrefundable i didnt even have a choice. Highly disappointed.
