Liked: Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Clean.
Disliked: Breakfast poor value for money and staff (not all) unhelpful and ‘annoyed’ if you asked them for any help e.g. extra knife or milk when it ran out.

Disliked: Wasn’t very clean. At breakfast a lot of the cutlery, plates, glasses, cups etc not very clean. Some of the staff weren’t very friendly.

What could have been a...

Liked: Good sized room with a large comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast was nice, though only just warm. Large carpark, with a lovely restaurant nearby. Good location. Reception/breakfast staff were very helpful.
Disliked: Our room wasn’t overly clean. There was spider poo all down the net curtain which continued onto the windowsill along with dead flies/spiders. The waste paper bin in the bedroom was filthy and the loo seat underneath had pee marks on it. There was mould on the ceiling, above the showerhead. Left sign out asking for our room to be serviced, only to come back to it later on in the day, to it exactly as we had left it. I did ring down for replacement tea/coffee etc, which was promptly seen to however. Although the breakfast was lovely, it was only just warm and had to wait for various food to be replenished on both mornings.

A disappointing stay

Liked: The hotel has beautiful surroundings. While the breakfast does come at a small fee, it is very well done. The staff when present were friendly and helpful. The rooms were a large size.
Disliked: After being advised we could get breakfast charged to our room when we checked in, we were advised that we needed to pay separately when we went to breakfast in the morning. At the reception desk the same morning, we wanted to pay for breakfast and had to ring the bell four times for someone to come, with long gaps in-between. The mattress was horrible and hurt both my back and my partner's. The room was very dark with little light coming in from outside, was really hot for some unknown reason, and there was a bad smell in the room which we believe came from the drain in the shower. The shower offered little power and had it's nozzles shooting water in all directions which made it seem like it hadn't been maintained well in some time.
