Best Western Plus Nottingham Westminster Hotel

Room was warm and comfortable. Bar meal was prompt and delicious. Staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble for them.

Liked: Extremely helpful and friendly receptionist and bar staff. Couldn't be more helpful.
Disliked: No negative comments to make.

Rooms and communal areas very well maintained - very clean and facilities provided as advertised. Highly recommend a visit!

Liked: Staff are fantastic - very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the 13.95 evening meal deal ( 3 course meal and a glass of wine ) - food was exceptional and very good value for money.
Disliked: My room was next to the stairs and the floors in the hallway were very creaky, so, with people walking up and down the halls all night, I didn't get much sleep.

Disliked: I stayed on the night of 18/06/25, when the weather was scorching, around 27 degrees. The room had an unbearable temperature because there was no air conditioning. I was advised there was a fan in the wardrobe, which did work, but unfortunately didn't cool the room to a reasonable temperature even with all of the windows open. Due to the front road-facing room, the traffic noise with the windows open was not very good.Luckily there is a great Indian restaurant over the road for food, which was the best part of the stay.To top off the uncomfortable night due to extreme heat and road noise due to the open windows, i was woken at 2.30am to the sound of the fire alarm due to somebody smoking in their bedroom.In the morning i was offered a free breakfast, which was hospitable due to the inconvenience the said guest created.Overall a decent hotel, good location, just a shame about the extreme heat and lack of air conditioning, excessive road noise due to the heat because the windows had to be open, and the idiot guest who set off the fire alarm. But that apart, it was a great stay !

Disliked: The fire alarm went off at about 2 am. It was a fault with the system. It stayed on for a while. The staff confirmed the fault and my sleep was interrupted for an invalid reason.
