Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown-Hotel Europa

We got overcharged on our rooms, and on the second night our cards didn't work. When we got new cards they set it up as a new reservation so we got an extra charge on the credit card.

Liked: It was 5 minutes away from the venue (New City Gas).
Disliked: Overcharged on our rooms.

Hotel was great; location was great; staff was great.

Liked: The rep on the phone worked very hard to accommodate my needs.
Disliked: I was told the website discount was as good as the military discount. This was not true.

I enjoyed the location a lot; when I come back I will book a room with you again.

Liked: Service at reception was very good; room was very clean and had everything a traveller might require.
Disliked: Maybe change the pillows a little - they are too soft; room seemed smaller compared to Best Western in Niagara Falls.

Liked: Within walking distance to central station, downtown and waterfront.
Disliked: Noise from building site next to hotel 5.30am onwards.

Would return for sure!

Liked: Exceptional staff members, from desk, cleaning workers and restaurant staff, made any of small annoyances just that- smallAlways willing to help and smiling!
Disliked: Coffee maker didn’t work, freezer frozen shut, bathroom very small.

Disliked: Room felt claustraphobic. Lighting was poor. Shower set up wasn't the greatest. Location of parking not great.

Liked: Location was good. Check in process was fast and staff were friendly . Air conditioning was super.
Disliked: Room was not so clean. Place needs to be renovated.Coffee machine drained dirt from inside. They could not get me a water kettle or to change the coffee machine when I asked. The coffee machine in the lobby was out of order as well. Their only option was to use the microwave to heat up water, which was not a practical option. There were lots of aggressive people outside the hotel, that made me uncomfortable going in and out the hotel.

Liked: Location is fantastic for downtown shopping and nightlife
Disliked: Floors had water marks from a quick pass of a string mop, however floors were sticky and our barefeet were visibly dirty after walking around barefoot in the room.Hotel staff were hit and miss for helpful or rude.Hallways to stairs were overwhelmingly smelly of urine.
