Best Western Plus Milford Hotel

Great staff

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond.
Disliked: No food, as there was no gas, but I appreciated the heads up and help booking somewhere.

Good

Liked: Location was good for where I was visiting. Room was tidy and at the back of the hotel away from the main road traffic. Friendly staff.
Disliked: I was contacted while travelling there to be told the restaurant would not be available in the evening due to a maintenance issue and they would only be able to serve a continental breakfast. Hand held shower head didn't work which I reported to reception and one of the bedside lights had a broken switch which they were aware of. The outside of the hotel could do with being painted as it could put some people off as its much better inside.

Disliked: Car parking charge. Outside signage and brochure in room stated Free Parking but I was charged £5 as the Hotel did not run the car park.I asked for a refund but was told to take it up with the parking company.Very disappointed

Liked: Nice enough hotel with lovely friendly reception staff.
Disliked: No chef so no food available and being Father's day no where else to go, all booked up. Domino's pizza were the only delivery service we could get so we had to manage with that, which wasn't what we expected. Also no cooked breakfast either but we're offered complimentary cereal/toast/drinks so again managed.

Liked: The place was clean and comftableHowever i paid 2x£10 in order to get a full breakfastOnly to receive an email late pm to advise no breakfast, and no refund. Its called disonest and rip off. I basically paid £20 for two cups of coffee and toast
Disliked: The above, plus there was nothing available to eat on arrival after a very long journey- as kitchen closed

Surly desk chap, parking is...

Liked: Location on journey to Scotland. It was a quiet area.
Disliked: Thé gent on the desk was more interested in getting back to what he’d been doing as no one was there to start with and he was a little surly. It was not obvious from the website that you have to pay separately for the parking. I find this unbelievable, it cost me £5 for less than 9 hours. Thé view from the room was of lots of containers and a scrap yard. Didnt bother me but just in case a view is important to you. .
