Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel

Liked: It was close to the venue and quiet.

The hotel was in a great location; the room was spacious; with a couple of minor changes I would have given it 5 star rating.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Only one ice machine for the whole complex. The breakfast is OK at best. The table had paint overspray on it.

Liked: Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed. Desk, room, and kitchen staff were all very nice & helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
Disliked: The lighting over the sink in our room was very poor; difficult for putting in contacts, shaving, etc. A wall-mounted lighted extendable mirror would be a nice solution.

Motel more so than hotel.

Liked: The breakfast was great, clean room to eat in just ran out fast of items
Disliked: the room was decent just had door opened to outside which had a gap under door for stuff to get in and not as safe. We asked to have carpet vacummed and fridge to set higher as I are food was not staying cold. The large vent for AC was loud in bedroom and dirty , the small balcolny off bedroom was not usable since the drain pipe hose from the AC unit leaked water on the balcolny at top. Water everywhere and on your head. gross, the vent that pushed air in room aimed right above the bed and had dust coming out as you slept. Carpet had bad smell and made our skin itchy. The laundry room with only one washer/dryer the dryer was not drying the clothes, when I told the front desk he right away said " we don't handle that, call the number listed on machine. After spending $7.00 and damp/wet clothes no apoligy or even place a broken sign to warn it did't work! I made a sign to warn others! I didn't expect refund from hotel but common courtesy to your guests paying out money and your machines not working properly and being there over a week, and no sign after I called desk which I noticed the dryer vent seemed to be very clogged from inside vent then the duty of the hotel staff knowing a issue to guest " making a call " isn't asking much on there end considering cost of staying there overpriced for the place. I also stayed one night then paid deposit for room and checked out then in again for a week due to mix up on dates. They charged me another deposit for same room and instead of keeping deposit attached is more sense so in reality I paid $300 deposit fee as I waited till end for applying back to me very annoying and made zero sense as to why one person pays $150 and then I pay $300 overall is how it seems for same room didnt change rooms.

Liked: The Best Western Plus Irvine Spectrum Hotel was a quiet, casual hotel at a convenient location. The hotel and the room were clean and well-maintained. The staff was warm and friendly, professional and efficient. Check-in and check-out took very little time.
Disliked: It was nice that a microwave oven and a refrigerator were provided. Would it be possible to add a coffee-maker and a couple of packets of coffee, as well?

Liked: The hotel is in a safe location and has ample free parking.The staff are wonderful! Really efficient. The female desk attendant in the morning was really pleasant, cheerful. It helps that the staff are bilingual as well. The breakfast has a good selection of options (the eggs are fluffy and buttery! A must!) and the attendant is cheerful, helpful and always in the look out to clean any spillage, clear tables or assist in anyway.The wonderfully smelling toiletries are sustainable in that they are in queeze bottles minimizing container waste (very advanced!) and it is helpful that they designed a very chic sink and siuated it outside of the restroom to give people immediate access to wash their hands or face. The rooms face an open courtyard so you don't feel boxed in and the courtyard is well maintained (even saw a guy mop underneath the swamp cooler to make sure it looked pristine). Coffee and water is 24/7 at the lobby (which is great!) and parking is free! If you are on a budget but want a welcoming and comfortable place to stay, I cannot stress enough how grateful we are on how this place is being handled by the staff. To all the guests, please be kind to the staff, they are a blessing and give their all in the tasks that they do.I hope Best Western acknowledges how great this place is being run!
