Disliked: Like everywhere else in Switzerland, prices are not inexpensive but fair.

Uncomfortable, sleepless six nights.

Disliked: We spent sleepless nights at this hotel. The hotel has a policy of turning on the AC only when the temperature reaches 24 degrees Centigrade outside. Because it was warm in April, the room got really hot, stuffy and unventilated at night without AC. It felt quite claustrophobic too. As a solution to the problem, we were asked to open the windows by the hotel. But that made the room very noisy as the hotel is on a busy main road with lots of traffic, even in the night. We couldn’t sleep with or without the windows open. The walls are thin too so noise was also there from neighbouring rooms and the floor on top. I have been to Switzerland 3 times in the last few years and have stayed in multiple hotels across the country. This was the most uncomfortable one. All the others also had a complimentary breakfast buffet. This one didn’t.

Charming hotel in an excellent...

Liked: Charming hotel, very art deco. Perfect location- 7 mins from the train station without feeling you are by a train station. You are given a pass for all metro and buses which was super convenient as Lausanne though compact and walkable is very hilly. Beautiful bar and restaurant on the premises.
Disliked: I loved this property and my well appointed room with a small balcony but the bed was thin and lumpy. I will definitely stay here again but request an extra comforter or something.
