Liked: Room was quiet & clean. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The TV was very difficult to use. The sweet receptionist came to my room to show me how to make it work.

Disappointing

Disliked: I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. I checked in late on April 29th, shortly before a lightning strike hit the building. A smell of burnt electronics filled the room, the elevator stopped working, and the fire brigade arrived soon after. I no longer felt safe staying on the fourth floor and asked to be moved to a ground-level room. When that wasn’t possible, I explained I would leave and requested a refund—having only just checked in. The staff refused, which I found completely unacceptable given the circumstances.I remained calm and understanding throughout the situation, up until the point when my reasonable request for a refund was flatly denied.Since then, I have emailed three times in three weeks and also called several times, but have been unable to reach the manager or receive any kind of response at all. I fully understand that the weather wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but ignoring guests and refusing to address a legitimate concern is poor service.

Liked: The staff were friendly, however, they did not have the authority to solve the issues we had
Disliked: we arrived late (9pm, after a long drive) hotel lobby bathrooms were out of order, as we're the elevators. The room dresser drawers were broken, the toilet paper holder was barely hanging onto the wall, one of the pans were dirty. The front desk lady was apologetic and said we would have to stay on the 2nd floor, thus having to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs .. or we could get a full refund..this was not a feasible option for senior citizens after a long drive and it now being close to 9:30pm and carrying up luggage wasn't easy. I inquired about a discount, she did she was not authorized to do so, I took the Managers name and email address, he has yet to respond
