Susan H, Edinburgh, visiting Liquid Room Edinburgh

Liked: Very friendly staff; comfortable room; great breakfast.
Disliked: ConcertHotels state free breakfast and parking! Only a 25 space car park so had to park in street for £6. Hotel say they never offer free breakfast!

Very good

Liked: Easy parking & access to rooms.Comfortable beds. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Disliked: Didn't like the shower curtain. Would float towards your body and couldn't leave it hanging out of the bath as water would flood the floor.

2 stars.

Liked: Location and proximity to bus stops. Staff were friendly on reception.
Disliked: Room had no air-conditioning. Water pressure very low. Room needed a roof fan at the very least. Dark room. Little natural light. Breakfast was overpriced unless you wanted a full Scottish breakfast. Waffle was burnt and charred. I had asked if they were freshly made and they were clearly just over microwaved bought in products. Very disappointed by the waffle option. Toast not brought to the table. TVs could not login to netflix or other apps.

Excellent hospitality, great hotel in...

Liked: It’s in a beautiful part of the city, next to The Meadows (hugr park area). The room was cozy with relatively firm bed, but for my liking very comfortable. The room didn’t have A/C, but by opening both windows, we didn’t feel hot in the room, even under the sheets. The staff was lovely, you get treated like in the hotels in the past. We could leave our luggage on hold for the departure day. Breakfast is also good, it’s a table service and you can order a meal. From city centre it’s a 20.. minute walk, but for us it wasn’t a problem, due to the area around the hotel. There are great places to eat nearby and architecture is also super beautiful.
Disliked: If you’re not a heavy sleeper, then opening windows for ventilation could be a problem, but at least the road in front of the hotel stayed quite calm and we slept like babys.

Beautiful refurbished hotel near Edimburgh...

Liked: Close to the centre (could go walking) , but with parking! Which is a great advantage.Big room, great shower and bed. No breakfast inlcuded, but affordable to pay. And they let coffe, tea, cookies in the bedroom.
Disliked: I reserved because of the parking but it cannot be taken for granted, as it is on show up basis. We were lucky, but in the weekend it got pretty busy.It should be clearer in the advertisement.

Convenient location but a little...

Liked: I liked the location and the comfortable bed.
Disliked: I found the reception staff to be pretty disorganised when I arrived. For a 4 star hotel I think their appearance could do with a tidy up. I was unaware of the many internal steps when struggling with my suitcases.
