Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel

We had mice in the hall by our room. Later in the evening we were just watching TV and more mice came running out by the desk. This made for a difficult sleep. Not what you expect when you are staying a night to relax and avoid stress.

Liked: The staff were friendly.
Disliked: We had mice.

Overall it was a good hotel to stay at and very convenient. It was very close to the mall and restaurants. Also the Halifax Forum.

Liked: It was near all the places we wanted to go.
Disliked: The entrance to our room was from outside. Therefore to go anywhere in the hotel we needed to go outside.

Disliked: One day there was no room service, we complained at reception, but even afterwards it did not work.

Liked: Your facility seems to be in excellent shape still. We stayed at your hotel several years ago and liked the location so we decided to try you again. We sure weren't disappointed as everything looks to be functioning right along. Your breakfast room is great as are your selections for food as they change a little every day. We had a little glitch on arrival as the clerk couldn't find our reservation but her supervisor came over and got everything straightened out. All your staff were pleasant to deal with and on a nice sunny day it is just great to lounge out back in one of your lawn chairs and chill out. Thanks again for helping us have a very pleasant stay. Keep up the good work.
Disliked: Only the fact that your one elevator was down but that didn't put a crimp into our plans period.
