Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel

We had mice in the hall by our room. Later in the evening we were just watching TV and more mice came running out by the desk. This made for a difficult sleep. Not what you expect when you are staying a night to relax and avoid stress.

Liked: The staff were friendly.
Disliked: We had mice.

Overall it was a good hotel to stay at and very convenient. It was very close to the mall and restaurants. Also the Halifax Forum.

Liked: It was near all the places we wanted to go.
Disliked: The entrance to our room was from outside. Therefore to go anywhere in the hotel we needed to go outside.

Lovely hotel, in a beautiful...

Liked: The lake side location was great! We spent a couple hours by the water, swimming and relaxing. There is a beach across the lake from the hotel, within swimming distance for an adult, but we had children and stayed on our side. The buffet breakfast was also great!
Disliked: Nothing

Hotel was good, but didn’t...

Liked: Restaurant was great. Different activities in the hotel.
Disliked: Bed was very soft (too much for our back), and A/C was super noisy + air throwing on the first bed. I almost didn’t sleep the first night, and kept the A/C off for the following nights in order to sleep.

Liked: The breakfast had a large variety, most of the staff were friendly. The arcade and pool were fun for the kids
Disliked: When we arrived and checked in there were bags of used linen and garbage in the hallways and it was close to supper time.
