Overall a great spot for...

Liked: It is nicely tucked away from the very busy road and freeway. The proximity to the freeway means easy access around the city. The landscaping is lovely, and the rooms are nice. The hotel feels safe and comfortable, though there is definitely noise from traffic and people outside. There is a nice laundry room, and there is a pool and hot tub! The staff is super nice and helpful!
Disliked: Parking is $14/day per car, and they charge a $40 daily pet fee with no limit (so if you're staying more than a couple of nights, that could really add up). The walkways are super slippery when wet (dripping water from the pool/landscape means they're often a little wet). The coffee machine in the room is meh, but there is a big coffee maker in the lobby.

Liked: Staff was great, room was clean, Jacuzzi was great.
Disliked: The guest next to us decided to stand outside of our hotel door and talk very loudly on his phone at 3 a.m. for about 40 minutes and also smoked right there with the cigarette smoke wafting into our hotel room. Not polite! I also didn't realize before we arrived that the 405 freeway is directly behind the Best Western. Yep, you could see and hear the freeway all night long. It was very loud.

Liked: Nice staff and close to freeway
Disliked: No towels in either the pool or spa. We had to ask everytime to fill up and we were 4 room 8 people and they would only bring out 8 towels no extra.

Late night expensive parking

Liked: We booked the room last minute at 9PM arrived at LAX. Staff was friendly and helpful, room clean but very basic.
Disliked: The price differed from what it was advertised when we booked, so it's booking con's issue and there was quite a charge for parking. Does anyone come there by foot?

STAY SAFE

Disliked: We couldn't check in because we had to leave for safety reasons. I'm traveling with my kids and someone in the parking lot blocked us with their car, asked us for money, and threatened us with a weapon. My children were very scared, and we left there immediately. If you plan to stay, stay safe.
