Disliked: Sadly we booked in for 6 nights but we travelled from the UK and on checking in we were told there was a very large group staying in most rooms on the first night, we encountered some of the group on check-in who were definitely ready to party with a megaphone. The reception staff warned us that there would be noise that night as the party would be going on very late once they returned from their party venue. Once I mentioned my concern they did say to let them know if it got too bad. However we went to our room feeling concerned as due to travelling we had lost a night's sleep and desperately needed a good sleep. Once in our room there was a lot of noise from the large group going between rooms immediately. The room had poor sound proofing and it was clear we would not sleep well at all. In addition to this the room wasn't very clean and the beds weren't comfortable. Sadly we felt we had no choice but to find alternative accommodation. The hotel charged us £302 for the first night despite us only being in the room for 20 minutes and not touching anything in the room. The entire 6 night stay was £1200, we were clearly taken advantage of being charged £302 for one night. Given the hotel had booked the majority of the rooms to a large group who were surrounding our room and had taken over the hotel to party, we should have been told ahead so we could decide whether to book alternative accommodation. I would like a full refund particularly as we had to pay for two lots of accommodation for the first night and were massively inconvenienced when extremely exhausted with our child.
