This hotel is very nice. The rooms are large and the complimentary breakfast is good with a lot of choices. I will be back if ever in the area again.
Liked: Friendly staff; clean; good value.
Disliked: Nothing.

When I walked in the lobby I was amazed at how beautiful it was. I honestly wasn't expecting it. Then when I got to the room my first thought was wow it's small, then after thinking about it I figured who cares, it was very clean and comfortable and all we were doing was sleeping there anyhow. My only negative is kind of minor. I wanted sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast, but then again we are in Ohio not Tennessee - LOL.
Liked: Very clean throughout, with a very friendly staff.
Disliked: Breakfast food selection.

Great hotel with a not...
Liked: I loved that I felt like I had a comfortable feeling every minute I was in the room and it was close to what I'm used to living like at home other than not having the customary essentials that ever had at home. The bathroom is spacious off the bedroom /living area was adequate and everything just seen to flow together in that environment. Plus I had a wonderful view park across the street
Disliked: What I didn't like was that the morning I checked out and walked out of the unit and closed the door that I forgot my wallet and when I tried to use my key card I wasn't able to get in. I forgot that key cards stopped working basically around 11:00 a.m. in the day to check out. And without thinking of that and being a little hungover from the sugar that I had the night before I proceeded down the elevator for the front desk. I approached the front desk and an anger mode asking why my key card didn't work when I had a late check out. The general manager as he stayed if he went off on it instead of trying to defuse a situation he just created more anger for me by being so moisture outlanderously loud.I apologize for the internet on my behalf however he never did. I even shook his hair and if I'll give you before I left and I never heard an apology from him at all. He felt like he was too good for that and I don't appreciate having to be spoken to that way immediately when he could have diffused the situation like casually speaking to me which will result in the issue without any further incident from me even though I was the one who apologized. The general manager represents the property and as far as I'm concerned you should be giving some sort of power and control counseling because the way he spoke to me was in a violent rage which is inappropriate in any type of business situation or even in anyone's personal life. The way he spoke to me he told me clearly that he has anger issues. Why do I know this. Not only the general manager of several resorts in my career life. I'm also a Behavioral Psychologist. Yes I understand that I was wrong for the way I acted however the General Managers was actions were inappropriate. He represents this business property so it makes me wonder how he treats his employees as well as his family in his own personal life.I asked him if I could add $30.

Historical hotel in the heart...
Liked: I loved that it has been a hotel since the late 1800s. I actually googled the history of it. It would be cool to see old pictures and have some info in the lobby. But that’s just my personal thoughts. The large rooms, high ceilings and windows were so cool! The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: There is a bar in the basement. All weekend, including our Thursday night stay, there were motorcycles in and out from the time they opened until they closed. Closing time on Friday and Saturday was 2:30 a.m. We had the room right in front on the second floor above the canopy. So we heard everything! People talking and coming in and out of the door. The motorcycles revving up and music blaring. We also smelled everything the people on the sidewalk were smoking, which wasn’t just cigarettes. The elevator was also sketchy. It creaked a lot and just didn’t feel safe. But I also don’t like elevators so it could just be me. Just be prepared that if you book here try and ask for a room in the back so you don’t hear all of the noise. Also, the gate for the parking lot worked the first time we used our room key. The second time it didn’t so they had to reset our key. It worked then stopped again. However, we weren’t the only ones this happened to and eventually they just lifted the gate and left it up until night time.

Liked: Nice historical feel with modern amenities.
Disliked: Parking lot is a little sketchy at night. Our key didn’t work to open the gate to the parking lot so we had to pay but the very friendly staff reimbursed us.

Did not enjoy the stay...
Liked: N/A
Disliked: The front office came to our room around 8pm accusing us of being too loud. My family and I were watching basketball getting ready for bed. Two rooms next to ours were loud and talking in the hallway after 1am, I called the front desk and they said they weren’t able to do anything about it. Breakfast didn’t have many options. Front desk staff weren’t very friendly. Parking was not ideal.
