Disliked: Room to the parking place was extremely noisy due to a compressor from the kitchen running all night. You had to keep the window open as there is no AC. Also at the first night there was a wedding going on and the wedding guests were screaming and yelling all night long on the parking spot ( in front of the reception !) until 4am. The hotel did not even informed us at checking in nor did anything in the night to improve the situation.

Liked: breakfast, view, quiet, parking, location, comfortable.The hotel was clean and seemed to be well run.
Disliked: No room service for entire stay of 3 days, including emptying bins and resupplying drinks and snacks. Very few sockets in the room, none next to the bed to charge phones.Overall, the hotel was very tired and needs a revamp, including decoration.

Liked: View from room, good breakfast, quiet, comfy bed and Health Centre
Disliked: Room furnishings and hotel public areas very, very tired with stained carpets and furniture, veneer on furniture coming off, malfunctioning lights and safe, chipped paint and so on. Could do with massive refurbishment, or even re-development. Hotel entrance off Promenade is incredibly seedy and rundown. When we first arrived we wondered if we were going to have to look for somewhere else but in the end the positive features such as the helpful staff, great view from the room and comfy bed enabled us to overlook the many negative aspects. If you are looking for a classy establishment, tasteful modern decor or a sense of affluence and exclusivity, this lace is definitely not for you.

Suited our needs for a...

Liked: We had a deluxe double with sea view which was worth the extra. Spacious and airy and overlooking the sea. Some of our group had rooms overlooking the car park and they were not as nice. Good breakfast. We also ate at the Paragon restaurant and food was good. Good location, midway between the electric railway station and the town centre. Bus stop outside the hotel.
Disliked: Hotel a bit tired looking, not enough plug sockets. The shower was of the hose type over the bath, satisfactory but not up to a good hotel standard.
