Great value, great location and...

Liked: Hotel location is great with easy access to beaches and shopping. I really liked my room and access to the pool area. Breakfast next to the pool was a highlight. I would definitely use again.

Very unhappy, cockroaches in the...

Disliked: My initial thoughts upon entering my room were, okay it is very dated but the price was reasonable so I can deal with this. The first morning after I checked in, I was greeted to a cockroach running across the kitchen counter!! I killed him and thought, okay it's Florida and we can have bugs...but then when I opened the dishwasher I was greeted to another one!! I killed him too and saved the dead bugs to share with the front desk. When I shared the evidence with the front desk, first they asked me if I wanted to move to a new room, but I told them if there bugs in one room then there were likely bugs in the other rooms. They informed me that they would have their maintenance guy "take care of it" when he came in at 9am. I left for the day to attend the US Open. When I arrived back at my room late that night I honestly saw or smelled no evidence that anything had been done. The next morning, I went back to the front desk to inquire as to whether or not the maintenance had been done, and they said they would leave a note for the maintenance guy. Again, I left for the day to attend the US Open. Two days later, as I opened the freezer, there was another cockroach!! Once again, I went to the front desk and lodged my complaint and this time I asked for the manager to contact me. I left a detailed account of my experience and my phone number. I checked out of the hotel and left. I did not get a phone call at any time that day, so I called around 4pm that day. I was told that the manager, Matthew, had stepped away but they would have him call me. It has now been 3 days, and I have not received the courtesy of a phone call. This is completely negligent customer service, so they have left me no choice but to write this negative review. If they had been proactive and respectful in returning my call, I might have given them a chance to make good. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, UNLESS YOU LIKE LIVING WITH BUGS!!

Exceptional

Liked: Had a top floor suite with kitchen and living area. it' a bit dated BUT it was very comfortable. Only issue was my bed was never changed in 8 days of staying there and the microwave was dirty. I also found a used paper cup with a tea bag and a bottle of water in the kitchen when I arrived. But it's a perfect location, lovely pool and jacuzzi, bikes and a putting golf area.

A very restful stay

Liked: Breakfast was fine. It was served outside by the pool and plenty of chose. Our suit was a good size and we had a terrace overlooking the pool all in all very pleasant. Great shuttle to and from the beach.
Disliked: couch in sitting area of our room was a bit worn.
