Liked: Position was good and a good Best Western Hotel standard. Middle level Hotel but good value.
Disliked: Rooms-rather tired. Menu uninteresting;dull

Friendly and comfortable

Liked: Friendly, efficient and genuine staff. Good value for money. Great menu and food, good selection of wine. Comfortable room.
Disliked: Becoming a little tired in places decor wise, replacing net curtain and bin, for example, would smarten the first impressions.

Disappointing stay that could easily...

Liked: Food served at the hotel is exceptional albeit a little pricey. I stayed for two nights and the breakfast form I had to fill in had to cover both mornings for breakfast so I had to decide two days in advance what I wanted for breakfast. Its always nice to choose on the day.
Disliked: Service in the restaurant in the evening is poor. I would have loved to see the dessert menu and order additional drinks. No-one asked and when I tried to attract attention, "yes, I will be with you in a minute", then nothing. Restaurant wasn't busy so no excuse really.Shower in my first room was broken and had no pressure at all when warm water added. Could barely get enough water out of it to remove shower gel and shampoo. I mentioned to at reception and my room was changed - perfect. Pressure in next room was marginally improved, but still very low. Bathroom was also dirty, broken floor tiles, hair on the floor.Not sure why the second room I was given had the luxury of a mattress topper yet the first did not, hope this wasn't an "upgrade" as I would expect nothing less on all beds.

Liked: We were given a really warm welcome by the receptionist after a long journey. As part of the booking process, my hubby & I requested a room with a 'walk-in' shower as I'm mobility impaired, but received a message to say that this may not be possible. However, we were allocated room 1, which is a twin with a shower room, not a wet room. But for me personally it was perfect, and the twin beds had been made into a superking which we really appreciated and was really comfy. We had a fabulous cooked & continental style breakfast, which was a perfect start to the day. All staff we came into contact with were polite, friendly & professional. The location is perfect as a stopover on our way from Shropshire to North of Inverness, hotel located not far off the motorway.
