Quite nice for a short...

Liked: The location. The food was very good.
Disliked: It is a little tired and dated. Stains on the bedroom carpet, a broken shower tap. Being charged £10 for parking because I booked through Booking.com!! The lady at reception said I had to pay because I’d got a discount by booking through the app.

Liked: Beautiful hotel, perfect location and we had the whole suite, so very spacious. Bed is comfy, staff welcoming and professional, property is clean, Great location too. Parking was easy. When you book through booking.com there is a parking charge and you have to make sure you put your Reg in at reception. Had a good nights sleep. Have already returned for another visit since this stay.
Disliked: However.....Breakfast wasn't the best we found, staff didn't really check on us after being seated, Didn't know we could order things like porridge and veggie options, until leaving when we saw a sign, Had family join us and what was on show didn't get replenished, so all disappointed, maybe if we had gone when it first opened then choice might have been better, but was not that impressed as we were not that late and expected more for a weekend. Our suite was beautiful, the only fault as such, is the lighting, which is too bright, there are no lamps for a cosy feel, its just bright big lights or nothing, same in the bedroom, no bedside lights just bright wall lights. Could be so much more relaxing with a nice lamp or three and cosy lighting especially in the sitting room, not to mention it being more sustainable.

Comfortable room with a great...

Liked: Large comfortable room in "The Cottage" with comfortable beds and a great shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, though our late breakfast time meant that stocks were a little low.
Disliked: Had to ask for white bread for toast at breakfast as there was none available. Steps to the room are quite steep and the area outside the room was a little "tired".
