Great hotel with comfy beds,...

Liked: Comfy beds, hot water, good breakfast! Staff were friendly and brilliant. Rooms were a great size with comfy arm chairs for relaxing in without the need to sit on the bed the whole time. Nice furnashings and plenty of storage. Included suitcase racks were lovely touch. Lovely temperature , not too hot but not cold, comfortable for sleeping in! Great breakfast buffet choice
Disliked: Lack of choice for vegetarians in the restaurant. no bedside lamp in room so it was either full lights or nothing (this was only a problem in one room, the other had a lamp). Fittings in bathroom were clean but a bit dated (lots of old sealant that has been cut but not cleaned up) And the floor creeked right near the sink (terrible when trying to be quiet in the middle of the night!) In one room and the shower fell apart in your hand in the other room (this was reported to the hotel so hopefully they will fix).

Beautiful but needs a good...

Liked: Absolutely beautiful building & location.
Disliked: The lack of cleanliness mainly in my room. And it was like an oven.

Comfortable, practical and convenient.

Liked: Used the hotel for a family visit and the hotel was very close to where our family live. Good car parking on site and free.Easy to book and check in. Clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The first time we stayed there was a problem with accessing the outer door but the second visit was trouble free.The room was not very warm on arrival and it took me a while to find the heating which was a radiator that had to be turned on manually. I would have though this would have been done before our arrival since it was a winter night.

Good value for money

Liked: Lovely location and main building. Great breakfast.
Disliked: The room was badly sound-proofed so we could hear the guests above us talking and walking at night and showering in the morning. The waitress at breakfast did not explain very clearly how to order.
