Too close to rail tracks

Liked: Reception area is nice, the staff was very friendly, the outdoor area with tables and chairs under the trees in nice for having a drink, breakfast was really nice
Disliked: Location is too close to the rail tracks, we had 3 trains during the night, each one of them whistling very loud for several minutes. Even ear plugs couldn't help. Pool was closed.

I will certainly return to...

Liked: The room was very clean, there were some signs of occupancy. Things you will see even in a new building. bumps and bruises that comes from luggage being moved around the room was clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy. The staff appear to take time and pride in keeping this place presentable.
Disliked: The lamps in the rooms have outlets in them that appear to not work and I was not aware of it until the warning came on in my computer. A small detail.

For the money, it is...

Liked: It had some character. It was like stepping back in time a little bit. It is an older property, but well kept.
Disliked: The big bushes in front of the rooms.

Quality and beautiful NM remodel...

Liked: Very nice NM themed remodel. Comfy beds, large room and bathroom. Fridge and microwave in room. Staff was welcoming and attentive.
Disliked: If only this was a hotel, not motel

Highly recommend

Liked: The lovely woman at the front desk was so nice. Like chatting with an old friend. So kind and inviting. She gave me a room that made parking with a trailer easy. The room was clean, very spacious and comfortable. The train close by didn't bother me. I thought it would but it was surprisingly soothing. The parking lot is a little rough but manageable. Vending and ice machines all work properly. The shower was great. Perfect pressure and drainage. I couldn't hear the other guests or their t.v at all. I will stay here again and again.
Disliked: When I first turned on the water for the shower, some small black particles came out of the water...instant dread. I was like, ohhh no! Of all the things to go wrong, you don't want the bathroom facilities to be one of them. Then a little sputter and it was clear. I ran it for several minutes after, turning it on and off again to check it's clarity. It ran clear from then on. Maybe I was in a room that hadn't been rented in a while.
