Superb

Lovely spot and very peaceful...

Liked: Dinner and breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Room was quite hot and little airflow from the windows to cool the room. We did use the fan but this only helped a little. It was a hot and humid night.

A hotel that deserves to...

Liked: The location was great for us as a stopover on route but it's also perfectly located for discovering the local area, Exeter, Dartmoor and the coast. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful and the grounds are beautiful.

Disliked: Room was smelly even though window open

Disappointing

Liked: Nice grounds, comfortable beds.
Disliked: Food was disappointing. Restaurant staff poorly trained. Shower inadequate.

Very good

Disliked: Hotel was good, room was very clean and nice views across the fields. Peaceful nights sleep. What wasn't great, which is beyond the control of the hotel, is the access roads to get there (awful, narrow and you just hope you don't meet anyone driving the opposite way). But once you eventually find the hotel it is located in a lovely peaceful setting.

Liked: Room and bathroom very good gardens lovely and the views beautiful Dinner was good it was a shame there were only 3 of us in the dining room.so no atmosphere. Also gentle music at breakfast would be nice.
Disliked: Public rooms need major improvements. Chairs in the bar had rips! Not a good look. Also the signage is terrible. Direction are needed from the main road not just the end of the lane. Aldo the road surface is awful.
