Liked: Great location, large room, beautiful gardens.
Disliked: Both of the bedside tables had dirt on them. The rooms are quite dated. The bathroom was modern and large but only a dabble of water came out of the shower. The breakfast was poor - we paid £13.95 for breakfast and they had run out of fruit, croissants, butter, yoghurt. The hot food was nice but the fruit juice and coffee were bad. We thought very overpriced for what you got.

Well worth a short stay

Liked: Lovely quiet location in the heart of the Devon countryside. Service by reception and kitchen staff was excellent. The grounds were immaculate, plenty of parking spaces. Evening meal and breakfast was also excellent quality, fairly priced and served by attentive staff.
Disliked: Quite difficult to find if using Sat Nav took us on a long winding journey through the countryside, single tracked lanes and high verges.

Liked: Quiet, comfortable and spacious room with lovely garden.
Disliked: Getting to the hotel involved incredibly narrow and badly rutted lanes. Some staff seemed poorly trained. No lift. Limited menu.

Liked: The grounds are immaculately maintained and the countryside views are stunning!
Disliked: The approach road to the hotel is rather rustic but I appreciate this is not the hotels fault.
