Lovely surroundings. My room was...
Liked: I thought the breakfast could’ve been better. Fresh coffee and fresh tea (not a machine) as the coffee tasted awful. The fruit salad was great but perhaps some natural yoghurt would have been nice.
Disliked: As above

Delightful dog-friendly hotel in beautiful...
Liked: The location means you can be in Exeter in 25 minutes or pretty much anywhere on Dartmoor or the south coast in 30 minutes or so. It’s quiet and beautiful and is outstandingly dog friendly. The staff are unfailing friendly and really add to the enjoyment of the stay.
Disliked: We had some of the rooms they keep for people with dogs. Even taking that into account they lacked facilities - like a fridge - and were a little bit “tired”. Totally clean but maybe in need of a refurbishment. The general property on the inside also has a bit of ‘faded grandeur’ to it.

Not bad.
Liked: When we arrived it had been snowing the day before so the fields behind were a nice view covered in snow.Looked really nice.Bed was very comfy prob 1 the best weve slept in an weve been to alot of hotels as we pick an choose random locations each week to stay at.This has 1 of the best beds to sleep at.Shame about the food we couldnt eat due to renovations which meant we had to order food in which was very expensive as there was nothing local, nearest was exeter town.
Disliked: No food on site due to renovations. Its abit out in the middle of nowhere so not the best to get to an no shops locally

Nice experience
Liked: Very picturesque and charming place. Stayed for 3 nights
Disliked: Kitchen was being refurbished so no restaurant and long drive to anywhere else. Not suitable for nervous drivers who don’t like country roads especially in snow and ice
