Wouldn't stay at this hotel...

Liked: Staff were very polite, helpful and professional .. Also Breakfast was really good.
Disliked: Very old fashion. Curtains, wallpaper, carpet and headboard all 4 clashed terrible. Very old fashion built in cupboards . 2 single beds pushed together and made up as a king size . Room not relaxing or comfy, to the point member of family didn't wish to stay there. It was not value for money. £180 for 1 night , plus and extra £22.50 for adult and child breakfast. Plus £10 parking at hotel car park.

Very good

Liked: Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Great location for the races
Disliked: Obvious price hike because of the races. All hotels did it but never feels quite as good value.

Disappointing!

Liked: Location and shower.
Disliked: Car park, unfinished extension, 1980's decor, bathroom poorly maintained, room temp, lack of night reception, external property and landscaping, sink hot water dangerously hot.

Overnight stay for a tourist...

Liked: In a quiet part of York so not disturbed by clubbers on a Saturday night. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Welcoming staff

Very good

Liked: Staff on reception and serving breakfast were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Car park a mess.....not a good welcome. Felt rather apprehensive on arrival.... I realise there is on going building work but the area could be tidier
