Lovely room; good food; friendly staff and excellent facilities - pool etc. Great location. Was near to Eden Court and also handy for town centre and exploring the area.

Disliked: Bar closed early. Offered to open but was dark and obviously shut with no people or ambience which was disappointing .Also car park full of workmen's vans in evening so no parking for guests available

Disliked: Had a constant buzzing outside the room (room 4 first floor), kept us awake, did complain no action taken at all, service at evening meal was so fast like being in fast food restaurant

Liked: Great location, lovely pool and gym facilities. The breakfast was good too.
Disliked: The bedroom was quite cold and the radiator made loud noises. There was an electric heater so it wasn’t too bad at night.

Comfortable stay in attractive heritage...

Liked: The Palace is a handsome renovation of an older hotel, with all guest room comforts and spacious public areas. The location is perfect: central and right on the scenic over area.
Disliked: The dinner menu at the brasserie is very conventional, did not live up to expectations.
