Very Good Hotel - But,...

Liked: Located in the Karlaplan region of the city .. with friendly and welcoming, multi-lingual staffLocated just a 10 minute walk to both 'Stadion' & 'Karlaplan' Metro StationsExcellent breakfast The breakfast staff were very hlepful .. and provided boiling water for tea, when asked, .. in preference to the 'tepid' water in the unheated urn in the tea / coffee area. Perhaps the hotel might consider replacing the current 'warm' water urn with a heated one, which would retain the heat more efficiently
Disliked: The shower sealant and tile grout in our room showed signs of age and could be cleaned more thoroughlyOn arrival in the room, the bathroom had a fetid odour & which smelt of stale urine .. Certainly, the house cleaning supervisor might wish to check on room hand-over days to ensure that better cleaning standards are maintained.From other recent reviews of the same hotel in May2025 .. we've either stayed in the same room (and if so, why hasn't the issue been fixed in the interim period?) or, there's a common problem with the hotel sanitation and plumbing ..Whatever the reason .. the hotel management needs to investigate, get a grip .. and get it sorted !!The bedroom window safety latch was broken .. which certainly presents a safety hazard when one is 6 floors up !Also, there is no storage space for clothes .. and a minimal hanging area for coats / trousers / skirts etc. It's bad enough living out of a suitcase in the summer . .but it must be intolerable in the winter months.Why do Swedish hotels not have any drawers / shelves for clothes ? Do they think visitors only have one set of clothes and stay in the same clothes for several days?It may be a small-ish room .. but there's sufficient space at each side of the bed for a 3 drawer cabinet .. so why not install something 'IKEA-like'? .. And at the foot of the bed .. if there's space for a metal tripod rest for a suitcase .. then, there must be enough space for a small chest with a couple of long drawers .. and space for the suitcase on top!Surely, that's not to hard to imagine and manage?The breakfast seating / table area is a far too small and uncomfortably crowded at 'peak' (ie: normal) breakfast times .. The hotel certainly needs to consider upgrading their facilities to cope with guest numbers - an increase in seating capacity is definitely required & necessary ..

Liked: Great location, quiet neighborhood. Delicious breakfast, coffee available at any time. Clean room and comfortable bed.

Liked: Superb breakfast!
Disliked: Concerning the room, a bad odor from drain in the shower? came regularly and was a discomfort as it filled the whole room. Only by keeping the light in the bathroom constantly on (and thus the fan in the bathroom) were we able to diminish the smell.

Liked: Really good place, walking distance from center, quiet area. Metro near by, shapping mall close by.
Disliked: Relatevly small room, but this is typical for scandinavia.
