Recommendable functional support hotel for...
Liked: - We had 2 family rooms for our party of 7. They were two-story rooms with large sofa beds on the ground floor and comfortable king size bed on the upper level. Older hotel and decor but impeccably clean and comfortable. - Very comfortable mattress and pillows. - Friendly staff. - location close walking distance to main tourist attractions (piazza Carignano, piazza San Carlo, the royal palace, Egyptian museum, El Mole, Parc Valentino, etc)- breakfast quality average but plentiful / worthwhile for the cost (7€ pp)
Disliked: - not the best area of town; located next door to the train station. We were told police patrol the area at night. That being said, we wouldn’t stay out late at night and so didn’t have any problems - poor sound insulation of the rooms. The garbage truck would wake us daily around 6:30-7 a.m. In the evenings the people talking in the street could be heard in the bedrooms (we were on the second floor) until things quieted down around midnight or so. - the aircon didn’t work in our rooms. - no parking on site. They recommended a private garage nearby (30€ per day) but as we didn’t have reservations we couldn’t park there. We found a public underground parking nearby that cost about 40€ per day. Very expensive if you stay for a long weekend (4 days) like we did, so keep this in mind if you find a hotel that includes parking.

Stay in Torino near train...
Liked: Location near the train station, buses, lines and reasonably close to the attractions the city offers. The room was clean and the beds comfortable enough. The staff was helpful and friendly.Parking is nearby in a separate lot (separate business altogether), it's a bit of a detour to get there but you can park temporarily to load or unload any luggage.
Disliked: There was a lot of noise from the street every single night. Not just normal city noise like traffic, but people talking very loudly, sometimes yelling. We were on the first floor and it was hard to fall asleep. I had the impression we were sleeping right outside the busy city market in full swing. The hotel should invest seriously in soundproofing the rooms as they cannot do anything about the noise since it's not coming from them. I would not recommend staying on the first floor.

Bad
Disliked: My prescription glasses were stolen from the room. Terrible, unforgivable for any decent hotel. My expensive lenses were stolen because they were in a Versace frames. Unfortunatelly, Torino will always have blemish for this experience and hotel will never be recommended
