Set in a charming Georgian building, the Best Western Henbury Lodge Hotel blends historic elegance with modern comfort. Located just a short drive from the heart of Bristol, this stylish hotel offers a peaceful, garden-filled retreat with easy access to the city’s bustling music venues. Whether you’re catching a show at the O2 Academy or heading further into town, it’s a relaxed base to return to after the encore.
Less than a mile from junction 17 of the M5, this hotel is ideal for travelers arriving by car, with free on-site parking making it easy to come and go. After a lively night, you’ll appreciate the quiet, residential setting—perfect for winding down. While not in the thick of the nightlife, local taxis and rideshares make it easy to get to and from gigs, and the hotel’s 14:00 check-in means you can settle in before heading out.
The award-winning Blaize Restaurant is a standout, open Monday to Friday evenings with a monthly-changing menu of seasonal, locally sourced dishes. Breakfast is a highlight, with cooked-to-order options like local bacon, smoked haddock, and homemade marmalade, plus premium Segafredo coffee. While late-night dining isn’t offered, there are local eateries within a short drive for post-show bites.
This hotel is better suited for those who want to escape the buzz after the encore. There’s no on-site bar or live music, but Bristol’s vibrant night scene is easily reachable by taxi or rideshare. Think of it as your peaceful hideaway after the party.
The hotel’s peaceful location means you’ll need a car or taxi to reach most venues and nightlife. Also, weekend dining is limited, so plan ahead for meals if you’re attending a Saturday show. And while the Georgian charm is a plus, some rooms may feel a bit traditional in style for those expecting ultra-modern interiors.
If you want a quiet, stylish retreat with easy access to Bristol’s concert venues and the comfort of free parking, Best Western Henbury Lodge Hotel hits the right note.

A pleasant retreat.
Liked: The staff were extremely friendly, polite and always happy to help. The food was excellent, especially for such a small establishment. The hotel was comfortable and clean in all areas and nicely decorated in keeping with the period of the Georgian property. The hotel is only 6 minutes walk from Blaise Hamlet.
Disliked: The cabin in the garden needs tidying, repairing and painting as it looks scruffy in the pleasant surroundings.
