Liked: Excellent location with attractive and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast and a fun bar on the ground floor. Slightly wacky situation with room key—you have to surrender it to management when you go out. (Not sure why.) Otherwise, a very pleasant experience.

Liked: We booked a standard room, but when we were shown it, it was very small with a fire escape and stairs outside an interior area. We didn’t like the room at all. We asked if other options available. Friendly staff showed us another room, slightly better but we opted to pay to upgrade to a room with a balcony. First 2 nights were lovely. Then the AC wouldn’t work. Two nights with no AC and a noisy neighbourhood . Again staff were understanding of our grievances and we agreed a reduction in cost. It’s an old building. Great location and a lovely bar in the evening
