Liked: breakfast was the best thing about the place,
Disliked: It looked good from the outside, but the rooms were very average, the place is not much more than a motel 6 with lipstick.

Disliked: desk clerk was not from local area. she did not know about the hiking trailhead. we kind of bumped into that on our own. needed a bit more training on local sites.

Completely overpriced for poor experience. Not worth the location.

Disliked: It is not at all a good value for the outdated interior, paper-thin walls, and minimal/threadbare bed linens. Management is not accommodating and gruff. This would be a $60/night hotel anywhere else but Gold Canyon. Ren Faire folks: plenty of good AirBNBs and hotels down the 60!

Liked: Nice selection for breakfast. Good location for visiting local attractions i.e. Apache Junction Trail & Goldfield Ghost Town. Convenient stopping point between Phoenix (entry point to State & Tombstone (next destination).
