Good hotel for a stay...

Liked: Clean and comfortable hotel for a stay visiting family in Cheshire. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Leisure facilities available on site with a good swimming pool,sauna and gym for a fixed price. Restaurant on site.
Disliked: Slightly dim over the bed lighting made it difficult to read at night

One of the worst examples...

Liked: The staff in general were very nice and helpful, although the housekeeping staff were clearly lacking the willingness or ability to recognise a problem and resolve it!
Disliked: The room was a disgrace, a previous guest had clearly been a road worker working on the nearby road surface dressing projects in the area, there were lumps of tar on the carpet, with tar on the door frames, furniture, bed, etc. This combined with the most uncomfortable single bed I have ever experienced led to a most unpleasant stay which resulted in us deciding to cut short our visit and return home a day early. So we paid for a disgusting room for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night!
