Best Western Corona Hotel

For a budget hotel I was very pleased with our room. It was quite small but adequate for just a few nights. The bathroom was nice and clean and looked as though it had recently been refurbished. The road was quite busy and the windows single glazed but noise did not worry me. There was a convector heater which warmed the room very quickly.

Liked: Clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Only negative - could do with a towel rail in bathroom.

Very disappointing, needs updating and...

Disliked: Waited over 20 minutes for someone to attend reception to check me in, by which time there was also a queue of people waiting. Room was small and cramped, bathroom door didn’t open fully due to toilet behind it. Safe didn’t work. Was very dated.

Don't believe the promise that...

Liked: Ok breakfast, though cooked items were not kept hot effectively.
Disliked: The television in my room had very few working channels and NO BBC channels. The channels that did work were very temperamental and fizzled out after a few minutes. I reported this to the management on my first day there, and when I returned to my room 8 hours later nothing had been done to address the situation. On my second day there I reported it again and once again on my return from work, nothing had been done. I eventually removed the television from its fitting myself and reset the wiring, which more or less resolved the problem. In the reception area there was a plaque proudly boasting that if something's not right the team will fix it. These are frankly empty words and in my experience nobody cares.

Liked: Great location, very safe and central close to Victoria station, small restaurants and coffee shops.Friendly staff.Room was clean and practical
Disliked: Small complaints, but there was no AC (we visited on very hot days) and couldn’t get cold water in the shower. However, on stay remained very enjoyable.

Liked: Overall it was just a bed to sleep in. They came and made the bed and took out the trash daily and cleaned the floors etc. location was really good, near a subway which was a good line to stay near. They also had a standing fan in the room which I appreciated. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Overall everything was fine but the room itself was extremely small. I could just open my big suitcase but the vair at the desk was so close to the bed, I was always having to hop over it or push/pull it in and out.
