It is 10 minutes from Folkestone town center railway station and Channel Tunnel. Built in 1864 the Clifton Hotel retains an elegant Victorian exterior. Inside modern facilities and period features blend and the hotel offers Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse Bar & Grill restaurant bar and lounge as well as free WiFi. Good overall, but disappointed on...

Liked: Lovely hotel, stayed many times. Good staff, nice building, good mattresses, clean and comfortable. Views from Room 401 were amazing.
Disliked: Our room 401 had a massive floor slope. I had a flu, and did sleep well because my feet were noticeably higher than my head due to floor slope making it difficult to cough. Also, the toilet roll was super cheap, I got through a roll just blowing my nose. Id have expected better details for £180 a night.
