Superb

Great for one night stay...

Liked: Lovely big house and ground, food was good no need to book into main dining room as suggested ate in bar area
Disliked: It was ok

loved walking in the grounds...

Liked: The views from my windows was good beautiful grounds 40 acres to wander around him and get lost bathroom spacious. The bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfasts were very good.
Disliked: The leisure of facilities were not standard. The showers were freezing cold. The bubble bath is not working and the swimming pool was very cold too. Need some improvement the evening meals a little expensive.

Liked: The staff were exceptional! Everyone was eager to make your stay awesome. Be sure to take the nature walk.
Disliked: I’m used to my own bed so this was a little uncomfortable, but I did sleep great.

Very convenient for our cruise...

Liked: It is in beautiful grounds and a lovely traditional building. We love wandering in the extensive gardens and enjoy the high- ceilinged bar area and restaurant with views over the grounds.
Disliked: There was a fire alarm early morning set off by a guest - not hotel’s fault- but no water for several hours. This seemed to take a long time to rectify and we weren’t kept informed. We did receive a 20% refund, however.

Poor food - Good setting

Liked: Setting.... cleanliness
Disliked: The food... waited OVER an hour and the order was WRONG.... The waitress kept saying "my fault", ""my fault"... THAT DIDN'T HELP as NO apology crept from her lips, just "my fault"... when the food did arrive it was sub-standard... the only good thing was Conrad who was properly apologetic - So we tipped him, but it was an awful experience
