Best Western Cedar Inn

The BW Cedar Inn is close to the Austin Steam Train depot and to Whitestone Brewery. Both are within walking distance. We spent the night after a train ride and were very comfortable during our stay. We will stay there again when we return to Cedar Park.

Disliked: My first room on the ground floor had a strong, unpleasant odor, as if someone had urinated throughout the entire floor. It was terrible.

Horrible experience. Now we are...

Liked: Absolutely nothing. Filthy, sheets were damp due to humidity in room along with mildew smell. Sheets looked as though they had not been changed. My husband’s sinuses immediately started acting up. Carpets had black stains everywhere. Shower head covered in mold. We could not stay there. We left the property.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Only the location. There was absolutely not one thing to like about this property.
Disliked: Unfriendly staff, unclean room, horrible bed, no ice, no vending, and used shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles. We will never stay at this property again.

Great and clean

Liked: We liked the cleanliness of the room. The beds were comfortable and pillows were nice. The location is great. Everything you could possibly need is around you. Overall it was great for a short stay. I have a crawling baby so I was concerned about the carpet stains. Their breakfast area was quite small and when items run out you have to ask them to restock. It was kinda weird to find the coffee maker in the bathroom.

Liked: Breakfast was good. Location was very good.
Disliked: The handicapped room had to step up and over the bathtub. The shower diverter valve only worked about halfway. (Leaking into the tub which resulted into a weak shower.)

Great experience for a great...

Liked: Great location, close to plenty of shopping and dining options. Right up the street from HEB, which is a money saver if you’re trying to save some money and not eat out every night. I had interactions with about four separate employees during my stay, and every single one was incredibly nice and helpful! As someone moving here from out of state, it didn’t go unnoticed, and it was a really warm welcome to Texas!
Disliked: The room itself was very clean and spacious, but if I had anything negative to say about the room itself, it’d be that the mattress is a little stiff. Even still, that’s subjective, and the room was great aside from that small thing. I will say, something to just be aware of, and it’s not necessarily the hotels fault, but there’s a lot of foot traffic and people hanging out by cars in the parking lot. Just be aware of this and don’t leave anything of value in your cars.
